Upgrade to Version 1.1.0 of the GEWPS.
On Wednesday December 1st, 2021, starting with the 1200 UTC run, the Canadian Meteorological Centre (CMC) will upgrade the Global Ensemble Wave Prediction System (GEWPS) to version 1.1.0 and change the status from experimental to operational.
The changes included in this upgrade are summarized as follows:
- Use of GEPS v7.0.0
- Use WaveWatch III v7 which includes negative peak period bugfix
- Use hourly wind input past 168h newly available with GEPS v7.0.0

Experimental implementation of the Global Ensemble Wave Prediction System (GEWPS) Version 1.0.0 at the Canadian Meteorological Centre (CMC)
Effective Tuesday November 17th, 2020, the Canadian Meteorological Centre (CMC) of the Meteorological Service of Canada installed the Global Ensemble Wave Prediction System (GEWPS) v1.0.0 with experimental status.
